The Shimshal Minglik Sar Trek offers an unparalleled adventure in the heart of the Hunza Valley.

Upon arrival at Islamabad airport, guests will be warmly welcomed and transferred to their hotel for check-in. In the afternoon, a city tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi will commence, featuring visits to the iconic Faisal Mosque, the Lok Virsa Museum, and the vibrant old bazaars of Rawalpindi. This exploration offers a glimpse into the rich culture and history of the region, making for a delightful start to the trip.
The journey begins with a drive to Naran, taking approximately 6 to 7 hours to cover 279 km via the scenic Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad route. After enjoying the beautiful landscapes along the way, the adventure continues toward Chilas, which takes an additional 3 to 4 hours to traverse 113.3 km via the breathtaking Babusar Pass, reaching an altitude of 4,173 meters. This drive offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, making it a memorable part of the trip.
Drive to Karimabad (6-7 hours) with stops for photos at the junction of the Karakorum, Himalaya, and Hindukush ranges, and the Rakaposhi viewpoint
Drive to Shimshal (4-5 hours, 3,000m), passing Attabad Lake, Hussaini Suspension Bridge, and Passu Glacier along the way

Two days are dedicated to summiting Minglik Sar (6,050m). The climb, which starts at midnight, takes 9-10 hours. Basic mountaineering skills are helpful, but the trek is non-technical. From the summit, enjoy breathtaking views of K2, the Mustagh ranges, Baraldu Valley, and Shimshal mountains.
